Privacy Policy
Effective
Purrzle: Cozy Cat Sudoku (“Purrzle”, “the app”) is made by Trong Nguyen. The short version: the app collects nothing. There is no account, and nothing you do in the app leaves your device.
Data stored on your device
To let you leave a puzzle and pick it up later, Purrzle keeps a small database on your device. It holds:
- the puzzle you are playing, including your moves, notes and time;
- a record of each completed puzzle: date, difficulty, time, hints and mistakes;
- your settings, such as language, play mode, collection, sounds and reminders.
None of this identifies you, and it is never sent anywhere. You can erase it at any time with Settings → Reset local data, or by deleting the app.
Like any app’s data, it may be included in backups of your device that you make with iCloud or a computer. Apple manages those backups under your account; we have no access to them.
No network, no tracking
Purrzle makes no network requests. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting tools, and no third-party code that collects data. It does not read your advertising identifier or any other device identifier.
Notifications
The Daily reminder is off by default. Only when you turn it on does iOS ask for permission to show notifications. The reminder is scheduled on your device for 7 pm and contains no personal information. No push server is involved. You can turn it off in the app’s Settings or in your device settings.
Motion sensor
On the Home screen, a ball of yarn rolls as you tilt your device, and Milo the cat watches it roll. To do this, the app reads the device’s gravity sensor while Home is on screen. The readings are used in the moment to animate the yarn and are never stored or sent anywhere. The sensor stops when you leave Home or close the app. No permission is needed for this.
Language
When you first open the app, Purrzle uses your device’s language setting to choose English or Tiếng Việt. Your choice is stored with your other settings, on your device.
Permissions Purrzle does not use
Purrzle does not use the microphone, camera, photos, location, contacts or Bluetooth, and does not ask to track you. The app plays short sounds but never records any.
Children
Purrzle is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children.
This website
This website is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, analytics, third-party scripts or externally loaded fonts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you, and we do not share them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a future version of Purrzle were ever to collect data, this policy would be updated before that version is released.
